At Green Mop that is not a wall decoration. We are a family-owned cleaning company in Massachusetts, working to make homes healthier and happier with eco-friendly, non-toxic products and people we would trust with our own keys.

Why we started Green Mop

Green Mop Cleaning Services started with our own family.

When our daughter S. was three, she spent three days in the ER after struggling to breathe. We learned she was sensitive to harsh chemicals, especially cleaning products containing bleach and ammonia.

At the time I was working sixty to seventy hours a week and needed help keeping our home clean. I called more than ten local cleaning companies. Not one of them offered what we were looking for: real attention to the products going into our home, and to the air our family was breathing.

So we built it ourselves, with my wife and my mother, who brought years of residential and commercial cleaning experience.

We built the company we wished had existed for our family.

Today, Green Mop Cleaning Services helps busy families enjoy a clean, comfortable home without relying on harsh chemicals. Our mission is to give people more time for what matters most, and to show that there is a better, more thoughtful way to care for the places we call home.

Detail-oriented and highly experienced, Ilma serves as Green Mop's Trainer and Quality Supervisor.
Hi, I'm the mom! Around here, I'm also the cleaner trainer, quality supervisor, and occasional bringer of snacks.

Office Manager & Professional Home Organizer
Lorena keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from scheduling and customer communication to supporting the cleaning teams in the field. She is also our in-house professional organizer.
