Exactly what we do, room by room
Every visit follows the same written checklist, which is how the result stays the same whoever is cleaning. Each service below includes everything in the one before it.
How far into a surface we go
The difference between our three levels is not how much we care, it is how far we go into a surface. That is what changes the time a visit takes, and the price.
Standard
We dust and clean surfaces to keep a home that is already in good order looking that way.
Initial
We wipe and scrub rather than dust: doors, frames, trim, baseboards, vents, inside cabinets. It takes considerably longer, which is why it is the first visit.
Deep
We take things off and out, clean underneath and behind, and work on built-up staining. Booked per room or per item, for the places that need it most.
Standard cleaning
Designed to keep your home consistently fresh and well-maintained. It covers the essential tasks that make the biggest difference day to day, ideal for weekly or bi-weekly upkeep.

Every room gets its own full list. Nothing here is assumed or skipped.
Bedrooms
- Remove reachable cobwebs
- Dust reachable ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Dust reachable furniture and surfaces
- Dust picture frames, wall decor and electronics
- Clean mirrors and glass
- Dust window sills, trim and molding
- Disinfect touch points and around door handles
- Dust or vacuum accessible baseboards
- Make beds, and change linens if fresh ones are left out
- Empty trash and replace the liner
- Vacuum or sweep floors
- Mop hard floors
- Return anything we moved, and leave the room orderly
Bathrooms
- Remove reachable cobwebs
- Dust reachable light fixtures and the exhaust fan
- Clean mirrors
- Clean and disinfect the vanity and counters
- Clean and shine sinks and faucets
- Clean the toilet: bowl, seat, lid, exterior, base and behind
- Scrub and wash the tub and shower
- Clean shower glass, doors and fixtures
- Clean and disinfect soap dishes, racks and holders
- Spot-clean cabinet and drawer fronts, handles and pulls
- Disinfect touch points and around door handles
- Dust window sills, trim and molding
- Dust or vacuum accessible baseboards
- Empty trash, clean the can and replace the liner
- Vacuum or sweep and mop the floors
Kitchen
- Remove reachable cobwebs
- Dust reachable ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Clean countertops and island
- Clean the backsplash
- Clean the stovetop
- Wipe the stove hood exterior
- Clean the microwave, inside and out
- Wipe the fridge, stove, dishwasher and oven exteriors
- Dust the top of the fridge, if safely reachable
- Wipe under movable countertop appliances
- Scrub and disinfect the sink; clean and shine the faucet
- Spot-clean cabinet and drawer fronts, handles and pulls
- Clean the window above the sink, and dust its sill and trim
- Wipe the table, chairs and bar stools
- Disinfect touch points and around door handles
- Dust or vacuum accessible baseboards
- Wipe and disinfect the trash can, empty it and replace the liner
- Vacuum or sweep and mop the floors
- Return anything we moved, and leave the kitchen orderly
Living and common areas
- Remove reachable cobwebs
- Dust reachable ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Dust reachable furniture, shelves and tabletops
- Dust picture frames, wall decor and electronics
- Clean mirrors and glass
- Clean the interior glass of sliding doors
- Vacuum or lint-roll the tops of couches and upholstered seating
- Dust window sills, trim and molding
- Disinfect touch points and around door handles
- Dust or vacuum accessible baseboards
- Empty trash and replace the liner
- Vacuum or sweep floors and staircases
- Mop hard floors and staircases
- Return anything we moved to where it belongs
Initial (deep) cleaning
The first visit, and the longest. Where a standard clean dusts a surface, an initial clean wipes and scrubs it: doors and frames, trim, baseboards, vents, inside cabinets. It resets the home so standard cleanings can keep it there.

- Wipe chair rails
- Wipe baseboards
- Wipe vents, registers and return covers
- Wipe ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Wipe window sills and frames
- Wipe shelves around the items on them
- Move small items, clean underneath and put them back
- Clean inside cabinet doors and drawers
Stairs and hallways
- Wipe and disinfect handrails and railings
- Wash staircase kick plates
Kitchen
- Wipe pantry shelves and floor
- Clean the top of the fridge
- Deep scrub the backsplash
Bathrooms
- Clean inside cabinets and drawers
- Scrub the shower walls, floor and tile
- Clean shower glass, tracks and frame
Bedrooms
- Vacuum or mop inside closets
- Vacuum under beds, where the floor is clear
- Vacuum under rugs and lay them back, where it is safe to lift them
Move-in and move-out cleaning
Just like our initial cleaning, but a step further. An empty home is the one chance to reach the places furniture normally hides, so every space is fresh and ready for its next chapter.

Post-construction cleaning
Also called post-renovation cleaning: it is the same service. The same reach as a move-in or move-out clean, aimed at what a build leaves behind. Construction dust is finer than household dust, so it stays airborne and settles again hours after an ordinary clean. Removing it takes repeated passes in the right order, working top to bottom.

Dust, in the order it has to be done
- Work top to bottom, so what is disturbed above is picked up below
- Lift fine dust from surfaces rather than moving it around
- Dust reachable ceilings, light fixtures and fans
- Vacuum vents, registers and return covers
- Wipe walls where construction dust has settled
- Vacuum and mop floors repeatedly as dust resettles
- Return for a final pass once the dust has had time to settle
Building residue
- Remove plaster, joint compound and drywall dust
- Remove paint flecks and overspray from hard surfaces
- Remove adhesive and tape residue
- Remove stickers and labels from new fixtures and appliances
- Clear installation debris, offcuts and fixings
- Remove grout haze and cement dust from new tile
Windows, frames and openings
- Clean interior glass, including any protective film residue
- Clean window sills, frames and tracks
- Wipe door frames, trim and mouldings
- Clean thresholds and door tracks
Kitchen, bathrooms and storage
- Clean inside cabinets, drawers and closets
- Clean appliance exteriors and interiors
- Clean new fixtures, taps and hardware
- Scrub new tile, shower enclosures and glass

- Breaking down boxes
- Moving furniture or appliances
- Grout fixing: sealing and advanced grout needs
- Inside the dishwasher and dryer
- Exterior of windows
- Anything outside the home
- Removal of cabinet liners
- Adhesive removal
- Cleaning while other vendors are in the home
- Cleaning where pests are present
- Cleaning for hoarding situations
Professional organizing is not on this list. It is a service we offer, as part of housekeeping and maid service.
