Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2025
OVERVIEW
Welcome to Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC! The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC. Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC operates this website and booking platform, including all related information, content, features, tools, and services in order to provide you, the customer, with professional residential cleaning services (the “Services”).
The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these “Terms of Service” or “Terms”), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.
By visiting, booking, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use or access our Services.
SECTION 1 - AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND TO OUR CLIENT POLICIES
By hiring Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Client Policies. This applies whether you book online, by phone, by email or in person, and whether or not you have signed anything.
Two documents govern the work:
- These Terms of Service, which set out the legal relationship between us.
- Our Client Policies, which set out how service actually runs day to day: preparing your home, access, cancellations, payment, safety and our satisfaction guarantee.
Both are published on this website and both are sent to you with your estimate, so you have them before you decide.
- Residential: Client Policies
- Commercial: Commercial Client Policies
Where these Terms and the applicable Client Policies both address the same subject, the Client Policies govern the day-to-day operation of the service, and these Terms govern the legal relationship. Commercial clients are additionally subject to any signed Commercial Agreement, which takes precedence over both where the three differ.
SECTION 2 - ACCESS AND ACCOUNT
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services.
To book or use our Services, you may be asked to provide certain information such as your name, email address, billing, payment, and service address. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is correct, current, and complete.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and all activity under your account. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
SECTION 3 - OUR SERVICES
We strive to provide accurate descriptions of our cleaning services (including Standard Cleaning, Initial Cleaning, and Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning). However, the scope and results of cleaning may vary depending on the condition of the home.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if conditions are unsafe, hazardous, or beyond the reasonable scope of residential cleaning (for example: hoarding, biohazards, pest infestations).
All service descriptions are subject to change at any time without notice.
SECTION 4 - BOOKINGS
When you request a booking, you are making an offer for services. Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC reserves the right to accept or decline any booking. A booking is not final until we confirm it and process your payment.
Cancellations: Residential bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. Commercial bookings require 48 hours. Cancellations made with less than the applicable notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, as set out in the Client Policies that apply to you.
Access: Clients must provide safe access to the property at the scheduled time. If our team cannot access the property (e.g., locked out, unsafe conditions, aggressive pets), the booking may be canceled and a fee may apply.
Refunds and rescheduling are subject to our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
SECTION 5 - PRICES AND BILLING
Prices for services are based on flat rates or hourly estimates provided during booking. Final costs may vary if the home’s condition differs significantly from the information provided at the time of booking.
All prices are subject to change without notice. Taxes and additional charges (if applicable) will be added to your quote.
Pricing is set as a flat rate rather than by the hour. If a property requires significantly more time than expected because of its condition or level of clutter, we will contact you before proceeding to discuss any adjustment.
Deposits. Every one-time cleaning, including an initial clean, requires a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are refundable if you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice for residential work, or 48 hours for commercial work. Recurring cleanings do not require a deposit.
Payment is due on the day of service. A valid payment method must be kept on file, and booking authorises us to charge it for services rendered and for unpaid balances. Non-payment will result in suspension of service until the account is brought current.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information. You authorize Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC to charge your selected payment method for all booked services.
SECTION 6 - SERVICE DELIVERY
Service times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or the condition of the property. We are not liable for delays outside our control.
Clients must ensure that the property is reasonably prepared for cleaning (e.g., clutter minimized, valuables secured). We are not responsible for damage to fragile, unsecured, or improperly installed items.
SECTION 7 - ACCESS AND LOCKOUT
You are responsible for ensuring our team can enter the property at the scheduled time, whether by being present, providing a working door or access code, or arranging a lockbox.
If our team cannot gain access on arrival, a lockout fee of 50% of the scheduled service price applies. The visit is treated as a same-day cancellation.
You are also responsible for ensuring safe and legal parking, and for any parking fees or tickets incurred as a result of instructions you provide.
Alarms and keys. You do not need to be present while we clean. You are responsible for giving us current entry, key and alarm instructions, and our team will lock up and reset the alarm as directed. If the property is intentionally left unlocked, Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC is not responsible for anything that occurs before our arrival or after our departure.
SECTION 8 - SUPPLIES PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT
We bring our own professional equipment and eco-friendly products. Two consumables are the client’s to provide:
- Trash bags and paper towels are supplied by the client.
- If we supply them, the charge is $1 per trash bag and a $1 paper towel supply fee per visit.
A toilet brush or disposable wand must be present in every bathroom to be cleaned. Client-supplied cleaning products require our pre-approval and Safety Data Sheet documentation before use.
SECTION 9 - ILLNESS
Please reschedule if anyone in the property has a contagious illness. No cancellation fee applies in that situation, whatever notice you are able to give.
The same applies in reverse: we will not send an unwell cleaner into your home, and we will contact you to rearrange rather than send someone who should not be working.
SECTION 10 - NON-SOLICITATION
Our cleaners are trained at our expense, and that training is what makes the service consistent.
You may not directly hire, employ or engage any Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC employee or contractor outside of your service with us, during the service relationship or within twelve months after it ends. If this occurs, a training fee of $1,500 per person becomes payable.
This is not intended to prevent anyone from working where they choose. It compensates us for recruiting, vetting and training a person you met through us.
SECTION 11 - CLEANING RESULTS AND STAINS
Cleaning improves the condition of a surface; it does not restore it. We do not guarantee that stains will come off completely. This includes, without limitation, staining, discolouration, etching, mineral deposits and residue on grout, tile, bathtubs, showers, sinks, countertops, fixtures, flooring, upholstery and other surfaces.
Some marks are permanent. Age, prior cleaning products, hard water, sealant failure and the material itself all affect what can be removed, and none of those are within our control. Where a stain cannot be fully removed, that is not a defect in the Services and does not on its own entitle you to a refund or a re-clean beyond the guarantee described in these Terms.
We will tell you when we believe a mark is unlikely to come out rather than repeatedly treating a surface at the risk of damaging it.
SECTION 12 - CLEANING PRODUCTS
We never use bleach or ammonia. This applies to every service we provide, without exception. Where these Terms or our website refer to “harsh chemicals”, that means principally bleach and ammonia.
Our recurring cleaning service is eco-friendly throughout. On recurring visits we maintain your home using non-toxic, eco-friendly products.
We do not represent that every product used on every service is certified eco-friendly. For one-time cleans, initial cleans, deep cleans, move-in and move-out cleans and post-construction cleans, heavier soiling and build-up sometimes call for a stronger product than we would use on a maintenance visit. Those products are still selected to be safe for use around children and pets, and they are never bleach or ammonia.
If you would prefer we use only eco-friendly products on a one-time or deep clean, tell us before the visit. We will work within that limit, and you accept that doing so may affect the result on heavily soiled surfaces.
SECTION 13 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All trademarks, service names, cleaning processes, checklists, text, images, and other materials on the Services are owned by Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our materials without written permission.
SECTION 14 - OPTIONAL TOOLS
You may be provided access to third-party tools or resources. We provide such access “as is” without warranties or liability. Your use of such tools is at your own risk and subject to the terms of those third-party providers.
SECTION 15 - THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites. You access them at your own risk.
SECTION 16 - PRIVACY POLICY
Personal information collected through our Services is subject to our Privacy Policy .
SECTION 17 - FEEDBACK
If you submit reviews, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide license to use them for promotional or operational purposes without obligation to compensate you.
SECTION 18 - ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS
Occasionally there may be errors or inaccuracies in service descriptions, pricing, promotions, or availability. We reserve the right to correct these at any time without notice.
SECTION 19 - PROHIBITED USES
You may not use the Services for unlawful purposes, to harass or harm others, to transmit misleading information, or to interfere with our systems. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations.
SECTION 20 - TERMINATION
We may terminate your access to the Services at any time without notice. All obligations related to payment, intellectual property, indemnification, and liability survive termination.
SECTION 21 - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Results may vary depending on the condition of the property and customer cooperation. We do not guarantee that services will meet every expectation.
SECTION 22 - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or wear.
- Items that are fragile, improperly secured, or not designed to be cleaned.
- Unsafe property conditions, including aggressive pets or hazards.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Services.
SECTION 23 - INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Green Mop Cleaning Services LLC and its affiliates from claims or damages resulting from your breach of these Terms, unsafe property conditions, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
SECTION 24 - SEVERABILITY
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.
SECTION 25 - WAIVER; ENTIRE AGREEMENT
Failure to enforce any right does not waive it. These Terms and referenced policies constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
SECTION 26 - ASSIGNMENT
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them without restriction.
SECTION 27 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. You consent to jurisdiction in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
SECTION 28 - HEADINGS
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
SECTION 29 - CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and material changes will be communicated in accordance with applicable law. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
