Gym and studio cleaning members notice before they notice anything else

A member decides how they feel about your studio in the first breath they take inside it. Mats, equipment and locker rooms are the three things they judge and the three things a general cleaner treats like ordinary furniture. We clean them like what they are: surfaces that hundreds of people touch with bare skin.

An empty fitness studio with mats rolled out on a clean wood floor, mirrors along one wall, no people in frame

Sound familiar?

  • Members wipe down the equipment. That is not the same as the equipment being cleaned.
  • The studio smells like a studio by mid-afternoon, and no amount of air freshener fixes it.
  • Mats and floors get sweat all day and a mop at night, and the finish is going.
  • One review mentioning the locker room costs you more than a month of cleaning.
  • There is no gap in the schedule: the last class ends late and the first starts at six.

If any of that landed, the rest of this page is about fixing it.

What we clean

  • Equipment cleaned and disinfected: handles, grips, benches, rails, screens and frames
  • Mats and mat storage cleaned with products safe on skin contact
  • Studio floors: swept, mopped and finished appropriately for wood, vinyl or rubber
  • Locker rooms and changing areas: benches, lockers, mirrors and floors
  • Showers and restrooms: fixtures, glass, tile, drains and floors, restocked
  • Mirrors and glass throughout, streak-free, including studio walls
  • Reception, retail shelving and water stations
  • High-touch points disinfected: door handles, sign-in screens, lockers, railings
  • Trash emptied and liners replaced throughout

This is the starting point, not the limit. The walkthrough is where it becomes a written scope for your building, and anything on it can be added, dropped or run on a different frequency.

What you get out of it

  • We work in the gap you actually have

After the last class or before the first. Studio schedules are tight and unusual, and building the clean around yours is our problem to solve, not yours.

  • Nothing your members have to breathe through a workout

Non-toxic products, never ammonia or bleach. People come to your studio to breathe deeply. A 6am class should not start with the smell of a swimming pool.

  • Equipment cleaned, not just wiped

Grips, rails, benches and the underside of everything. The places a member never wipes are the places the smell comes from.

  • A standard that holds when you are not watching

The same team every visit, an agreed checklist, and a 24-hour re-clean if something is missed. Your reviews are the thing actually at stake, and we treat them that way.

Common questions

Gym & Fitness Studio Cleaning, answered

Can you clean between classes or after we close?

Yes, and studios almost always need one or the other. Tell us your schedule at the walkthrough and we will build the visit around it, including the awkward version where the last class ends at 8:30pm and the first starts at 6am.

Will the products be safe on skin-contact surfaces?

That is the point of them. Everything we use is non-toxic and safe on mats, grips and benches that people touch with bare skin and press their faces against. We never use ammonia or bleach.

Do you clean the equipment itself, or just the floors?

Both. Equipment is where the problem is. Handles, grips, benches, frames, rails, screens and the parts underneath that never get wiped between sets.

How often does a studio need cleaning?

More often than most other commercial spaces, because the soil is sweat rather than dust. Small studios usually run three visits a week; a busy gym with locker rooms is generally daily. We will say which we think you need, and why, after walking the space.

Can you handle the locker rooms and showers?

Yes, including tile, glass, drains and restocking. If you would rather we took the locker rooms daily and the studio floor three times a week, that is a normal way to split it and the quote will show both lines.
