Cleaning for rooms where children put their hands on everything

Children touch every surface at knee height and then touch their faces. Every parent touring your building knows it, and the question they are too polite to ask is what you clean with. This is the one kind of building where our answer is the whole reason to hire us.

Phone answered 24/7. No long contracts.

A preschool classroom after hours, small tables and chairs clean and set out, low shelving tidy, no children present

Sound familiar?

  • A parent asked what products you use and you had to go and find out.
  • Toys, mats and tables get sanitised by staff who are already doing two other jobs.
  • Harsh disinfectant is the standard answer, and it is not one you want around a two-year-old.
  • An illness goes through the building and the cleaning is the first thing questioned.
  • Anyone in your building has to be checked, and you need that in writing.

If any of that landed, the rest of this page is about fixing it.

What we clean

  • Classrooms: tables, chairs, shelving, cubbies and reachable surfaces
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped, including under tables and in corners
  • Mats, soft flooring and play surfaces cleaned with non-toxic products
  • Restrooms cleaned and restocked, including child-height fixtures and handles
  • High-touch disinfection at child height: handles, switches, rails, cubby doors
  • Kitchen, prep and staff break areas
  • Entry, corridors, coat areas and stairwells
  • Halls, sanctuaries and function rooms reset after use
  • Trash emptied and liners replaced throughout

This is the starting point, not the limit. The walkthrough is where it becomes a written scope for your building, and anything on it can be added, dropped or run on a different frequency.

What you get out of it

  • An answer you can give a parent on the spot

Eco-friendly and non-toxic, never ammonia or bleach, in every room. It is a short sentence and it ends a conversation that otherwise goes badly.

  • Checked people, and the paperwork to show it

Every team member is background-checked and trained. We will provide what you need for your records, your board or your licensing file.

  • Cleaned when the building is empty

Evenings, or the hours between programs. Children are never in a room we are working in, and nothing is drying while they are on the mat.

  • Attention at the height it matters

Cubby doors, chair backs, table undersides and the bottom half of every door. Adults clean at adult height by instinct. Children live below it.

Common questions

Daycare, School & Church Cleaning, answered

What do you use instead of bleach?

Eco-friendly, non-toxic products throughout, and where a disinfectant is needed on high-touch surfaces we use an EPA-registered one rather than a harsh chlorine product. If your licensing requires a specific product, we will use yours and write it into the scope.

Are your staff background-checked?

Yes, every one of them, and we will provide documentation for your licensing file or your board. For a building with children in it we expect to be asked, and we would think less of a director who did not ask.

Do you clean toys and soft furnishings?

We clean mats, play surfaces, tables and reachable shelving. Individual toy sanitising is usually kept in-house because it runs on your rotation, not ours, but tell us at the walkthrough and we will include what makes sense.

Can you clean a church that is only used at weekends?

Yes. Places of worship often need one thorough visit before the weekend and a reset afterwards, rather than a fixed weekly slot. We will quote the pattern that fits your calendar, including additional visits for holidays and events.

Can you come in during a school break for a deeper clean?

Yes, and it is the sensible time for it. Summer and February break are when floors, mats and the places that never get reached during term can be properly done.
